Learn How To Grow Your Photography Business to Full Time Income This Year!
If you have a tough time turning photography leads into bookings, I want to share 3 tips with you. You work so hard for that inquiry just for them to ghost you or say you’re not within their budget. Let’s change that so you can experience more bookings in your business.
There is a lot of work to be done before an inquiry ever hits your inbox. One of the first places you want to evaluate is your marketing. If your marketing isn’t clear or calling in the right clients, then you will experience more no’s in your conversations. It’s all about priming the right fit client for you. So get more SPECIFIC in your content whether it’s a post or a video.
Think about one person specifically when you are creating your marketing content. What does your ideal client need to hear? What are her struggles or hesitations about booking with you? How can you make her more confident in hiring you? What parts of your process can you show in your marketing? The more specific you are, the more yes’s you will hear.
The biggest mistake I am seeing across the board in the photography industry is content being too vague and too generalized. Stop speaking to everybody. Start speaking to your niche.
Audit your conversations with your leads. Are you saying too much? Do you take a long time to respond? Are you copying and pasting your pricing and session info? If you’re doing these things, it’s time to fix it.
Here are some helpful tips when speaking with photography leads:
-Keep your messages short and sweet. Don’t type more than 2-3 sentences in each response you have with a lead.
-Use an investment guide or redirect your leads to your pricing and package information on your website.
-Make sure you are using professional language and correct grammar.
-Be consistent in your responses. Don’t space your conversations out 2-3 days apart.

Are you following up and keeping in touch with your leads? If you are not following up with your leads, you are missing out on bookings. People get busy. Some leads may not be trying to book right away. If you don’t follow up with them, then you are leaving money on the table. I teach an entire follow up process inside of the Blueprint program.
If a lead says they are not interested in booking right now, what are you doing to keep them in your audience? Not all no’s mean never. Some just mean no right now. Treat your leads as potential clients anyway. What can you do to keep them in your audience? Some ideas include adding them to your Facebook group, email list, or move them to a mini session list.
Use these 3 tips to do a deep dive in your own inquiries and improve your process. You will naturally see more bookings with just these 3 strategies.
