Happy New Year! We made it to 2022! No better way to kick it off than with a backend business challenge!

I don’t know about you, but I freaking love this time of year! It gives me a sense of a fresh new slate. It motivates me and energizes me for the year up ahead. I want you to have your best year yet so I want to invite you to take part in the Backend Business Challenge for 2022.

How The Business Challenge Works

Every day, I will post one action step inside of the Facebook Group for you to take to get your business in order. At the end of the month, you will be all set up and ready to book more clients. You can download the complete checklist here.

Here are some of the topics you can expect to cover during the challenge:

Finances + Budgeting

As business owners it is crucial that we dive into our numbers and understand what’s going on at all times. We need to reflect on the year we just completed, our expenses, our desired income, our spending habits, and our goals. If your finances are holding you back, it’s likely because you have chosen to ignore or neglect them out of fear.

First, go through every single transaction from the last three to six months and look at where your money is going. Look at the bills, subscriptions, random purchases, investments, etc. Pay attention to what money came in and what it was for. Take some time to separate your spending into categories (Example: business investments, personal bills, business subscriptions/software, etc).

Next, look at what you can eliminate. Get rid of things you don’t need.

Finally, I want you to create a budget for your life and business. You can check out this episode to do a deep dive into creating one.

Marketing

Now that you know your goals and have a finance snapshot of your business, you can create a plan to reach those goals. You can’t wait until the last minute to “market” your business. You have to do it with a solid plan in place.

Look ahead and start planning out your calendar for at least 3 months at a time. What are you offering? Who are you speaking to? Your social media content, emails, or whatever you choose to market with must align with your goal. Does your content drive your ideal client to taking the desired action you want them to take?
