The investment guide (pricing guide), prep guide, style guide and the after the session guide are the four guides I’m going to talk about today. We’re going over why each one is important and where it plays a role in your client journey.
Let me preface with, you don’t have to purchase mine to implement what I’m talking about today, although, it will save you a whole lot of time. Then, You can easily pop in your branding + your images and have all four of these guides ready to go in a couple of days! First up, the Investment Guide, or pricing guide, the guide that every single photographer should have, regardless of whether you list your pricing on your website or not.
The Investment Guide is what initially sets you apart from the other photographers that your potential clients are also inquiring with, it is the foundation of how to create an amazing client experience! Additionally, My investment guides help your clients answer the many questions that play into their buying decision.
All of this is answered inside the investment guide. This works in my own business and it works in other photographers’ businesses, too. So, your investment guide is your handshake, your first impression. The investment guide is the first guide that is going to be sent to a potential client. It can even stay live on your website or on your Instagram, too, and you can save the link to this guide in Canva and then send it to your clients so that they can view it like a digital magazine as well.
Next in line is the prep guide. Sections include: what to expect when working with you, the location options, styling advice, session reminders, and more. The prep guide is similar to a frequently asked questions guide.
Next, You’ll send the style guide next. The style guide walks your client through how to color coordinate (NOTICE: I didn’t say match). The style guide walks them through what to wear, the accessories needed and if you have one available, so you’ll insert the link to your client closet here, too.
The After the Session Guide is sent to your client’s email after their session. You’ll use this guide is to thank them for choosing you as their photographer and to give them the next steps of their client journey. So, you’ve already answered their questions and now you’re just getting them excited.
