No one ever plans for loss especially not when it comes to children. A rainbow baby is a baby that is born following a miscarriage or infant loss.

William August was born on December 31st and we captured his newborn session just one week later. His name was designed and given to him with love. William was his mother’s maiden name which means “will or desire.” August was Jonna’s first due date with the baby they lost before William. Bradley and Jonna were ecstatic to document their newest season of bringing their sweet baby home. The session was captured in their home in the mid-morning.

The props that were included were very sentimental to them. We used a firefighter outfit to symbolize Bradley’s firefighting career. August was also photographed laying on a goat skin rug that was purchased on a recent trip the family took.
